1. Service

PuffinVBT ("we", "us") provides velocity-based training (VBT) analysis of user-uploaded barbell training videos. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for your account and for the accuracy of the metadata you submit with your videos. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

3. Plans & billing

Free accounts include a fixed number of analyses. Paid subscriptions (Athlete, Coach) are billed monthly or annually through Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Coach plans include a number of athlete seats; additional seats are billed separately. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

4. Acceptable use

You retain ownership of the videos you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process, store, and display them to you (and to coaches or connections you share them with) in order to provide the service. You may not upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that is unlawful.

5. Research use

Derived training metrics may be used anonymously for academic research only where you have opted in during the consent process. See our Privacy Policy.

6. Availability & liability

The service is provided "as is". Velocity and ROM metrics are estimates and must not be relied upon for medical or safety-critical decisions. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss.

7. Cancellation

You may cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. We'll notify you of material changes by email or an in-app notice before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't agree, you may cancel your account before the change takes effect instead.

9. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Austrian law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU/EEA member state, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer-protection provisions of that state's law. Subject to that, the competent courts at our registered business seat in Austria have jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules require otherwise.
